Anyone having a problem getting their taxes?

I filed my taxes the 31st of January. Waited 21 days and called and they said they’re being processed. I got a letter March 8th for March 6th saying to wait 60 days I am being reviewed. I called the other day cuz it had been 62 days and she had no information to give me. Said she’d send a referral and I am just over it. I am told 60 days everytime I wait the 60 days. Anyone having this problem?

If the return has been processing for more than 21 days then you can call the IRS …

Call the IRS:  1-800-829-1040  hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday

When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.

So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info).  Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.

Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".

Then press 3 "for all other questions."

Then press 2 "for all other questions."  It should then transfer you to an agent.

Or you can contact your local IRS office.  See this IRS website for local IRS offices - http://www.irs.gov/uac/Contact-Your-Local-IRS-Office-1

If it's been more than 90 days since the return was accepted  then you can ask for help from the Tax Payer Advocate office:

At the following IRS website, find the USA map and click on your state, and it will give you the number of your IRS Taxpayer Advocate.

http://www.irs.gov/uac/Contact-a-Local-Taxpayer-Advocate

If you are unsuccessful with the Taxpayer Advocate for your area, you can also try the special IRS phone number for the Taxpayer Advocate Service at 877-777-4778.

Anyone having a problem getting their taxes?

Girl I called last week and they said they’d send a referral I said for what? Like what is the damn issue! And she said she’s not sure we’ll i called the day after and they said two of my three employees had sent in verifications on my wages and one had not so I contacted my general manager and payroll guy they said they’ve received nothing from the irs but if they knew where to send it, they’d send it I said okay cool . Call the irs AGAIN and she said there’s not a person in the processing department I can speak with it’s not a department anyone can talk too. So I’m irate and told her that’s fucking stupid and she goes well the referral went in on the 9th you will just have to wait up to 60 days AGAIN for a letter or someone to contact you. I am so over it.

OK guys ... remember that the IRS is way understaffed and they are doing many more pre-refund-release checkings this year so the big machine is running wayyyy behind.  Patience will be required this year more than ever.

Anyone having a problem getting their taxes?

Patience I’m all out!!

Anyone having a problem getting their taxes?

Try the taxpayer advocate option.

Anyone having a problem getting their taxes?

I did and no answer yet

Then you are back to being patient on 2 fronts ... even the advocate office can take a week or more to get back to you... it is not an instant service.
