Ok my federal income tax withheld says $2210.55 but I’m only getting back a $1000 something, what am I doing wrong?

don't expect to get all your tax withheld back.

That only happens if your tax is zero.

Why do you think you should get back as a refund all the federal income taxes withheld from your wages?

You only receive a tax refund if the total of your tax liability is less than the total of your tax payments.
