I'm ready to file but turbotax doesn't give me the option.

There are several forms on my return that IRS won't accept until 01/06/2017, but in previous years TT has allowed transmission and then qued the return until IRS is ready. What's changed?

Nothing changed. It's just too early yet. TurboTax is not yet open for filing, so you cannot get to that part of the program yet. Come back towards the end of the week to finish up. And then they will just hold them all until the IRS opens Efiling on Jan 23.
