Not getting answer from IRS

It's been 11 days since I filed my tax return and I haven't heard back from the IRS, which normally takes 24-48 hours to respond. I have no response, either as to whether it was accepted or denied. The "Where is My refund?" page also says my information doesn't match, but I entered everything correctly.

You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section. In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large button labeled "Transmit my returns now".

After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.

Check your email account for an email from TurboTax.  Look in your spam or junk mail folder.

Verify that your email address is correct in your TurboTax account.  See this TurboTax support FAQ - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/account-status/update-turbotax-account-i...

Actually, I did not get any kind of message like “Transmit my return now. But my e-mail address is correct because I got a lot of e-mail like “Your TurboTax account has been updated.” And there is no any spam mail. I dowloand my refund but no message for transmitting.

Actually my turbotax account shows the amount that I will get but no any answer from IRS, I did not get any message from after I filed and transmitted my return. I checked my e-mail but no answer or any spam mail from IRS or TurboTax. But IRS says that you will get any reaction like rejected or accepted after you transmitted. Please help me solve this problem. This was my first time I applied return.

@ecebozalan The IRS will never email or call you.  They only communicate using the US mail

Do you have a federal tax refund?  If so, is there a status of the refund on the IRS website - https://www.irs.gov/refunds

You need to enter your Filing Status, your Social Security number and the federal tax refund amount as shown on your Form 1040 Line 35a.

I checked “Where is my refund” page but it says “your information does not match”. I do not understand why it says like that. It is been 11 day after I transmitted. @DoninGA

The “Transmit returns now” was a button at the end you were supposed to click on.  Did you get that far?

When you efile you get back 2 emails.  The first email only confirms the transmission.  The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.  And check your spam folder for them.

When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc.  What does it say?

@VolvoGirl I did not get two e-mail you said. My status say that it is "Ready to mail". What should I do?

"Ready to mail" indicates the tax return was never e-filed and is now ready to be printed and mailed.

Go back to the File section of the program to e-file your tax return.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.

This will take you back to the 2024 online tax return.  Click on File

You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section. In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large button labeled "Transmit my returns now".

You may have heard the thousands of federal workers (including IRS employees) have been let go.  I wouldn't expect to get any response on any communication from those folks any time soon.
