No, you don't issue 1099-Misc on payments made as maintenance support, alimony or child support.

Am I required to file a 1099 Misc on maintenance support paid to my ex-wife

My ex-husband is giving me a 1099-Misc for the spousal maintenance that he pays. If he is not supposed to use this form, can you please tell me what he is supposed to use? Thank you.
