My son is19 and had a job last year - grossed 13k. While he works, he does still live at home. Can I still claim him as a dependent if he files his own return?

No, not unless he is permanently disabled or a full time student.  If he is a full time student, you can claim him if he did not provide 1/2 of his own support and he did not claim himself on his tax return. (If he did he can amend his return so you can claim him)
