Medicare PART B

Medicate PART B - TurboTax asks for this figure which is on my mom's SSI form needed when adding in her SSI received.  Yet it's also a deduction to be included as a medical expense. My question is: should I be adding that amount into my mother's total medical expenses as well as typing that into the computer when asked by TurboTax®?  In other words, do I still add that figure from the SS form into my mother's total medical expenses, include it as part of her total medical expenses AND type it in when asked by TurboTax later when working on her SSI form?  I don't know if TT is figuring or adding that figure to her overall total medical expenses.  If not, and it's a legitimate medical expense which I read it is, it would make a huge difference in the money she paid out for 2016 total medical expenses.

Medicare PART B

No.  Do not add the Medicare Part B premiums as a medical expense.  TurboTax will automatically transfer the amount you enter on the Social Security entry form for Medicare premiums to Schedule A.
