Newly married in 2024, state return issue

My spouse and I newly married in 2024 and filing jointly for the first time.  The Federal return is easy as the prompts clearly delineate  husband and wife inputs.

My question is about the State return (Montana) which asks us to manually input several elements from the prior year's return (such as amount of  2023 taxes paid and itemized deductions, etc).  Should I manually add the husband and wife's 2023 data together for these inputs, even though it doesn't prompt or suggest this?   It would seem odd to only include data from one spouse.  But, then again, it seems like an obvious oversight in the software to not prompt for two spouses' data or simply remind the user of the need to manually add themselves.

Thank you!

Yes, you should assume you should manually combining the figures from both of your prior year tax returns. It's likely TurboTax is following the protocols for the Montana e-file fields. You are filing jointly in 2024, so the figures requested should represent your combined information.
