Just want to point this out to people: I have a pension from my late husband from when we lived in Maryland. He worked in Delaware, lived in Maryland. I moved to New York State after he died. Every year Turbotax has screwed up my NYS tax return by deducting that pension from my state return, as though he had been a NYS employee. Every. Year. I now owe back taxes and interest to NYS for YEARS of returns, thanks to Turbotax not handling this correctly. And yes, every year on my state Turbotax return, I check "NO" when asked if this is NY Fire, Teacher, etc pension. Now I know better and will try to manually force the correct answer before I send the return off. Cmon Turbotax, you are supposed to better than this!!
