So it seems that, when you entered the 1099 the first time , you made some further entries about what the money was for. Since you are using the Desktop version, you should be able to go to forms on the upper right and then see if there is still a 1099-MISC worksheet showing or an 8919. You could click on both, one at a time, or whichever is still showing, and then select to delete the form at the bottom of the screen.

Delete the 1099-MISC entry. enter it simply as general revenue for self-employment, meaning income for which no 1099-MISC was received.
