Need to clarify whether or not I can claim my girlfriend as a dependent.. We live together, and mortgage, bills, and more comes out of my account.

She works side jobs occasionally, but is not on a payroll anywhere, but is she considered a relative via "Relationship"?

Yes, you can claim your girlfriend as a dependent if she lived with you for the entire year of 2016 and you meet all of the other requirements. With respect to "relationship", she is not a relative; she is a member of your household. Please refer to the following FAQ to learn more. https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3288503
