Hi,
I need to adjust my W4 so I get less of a return and more on my checks. So I did the IRS estimator, it gave me a number to put into step 3 for claim dependents. Great, easy enough. But when I go on my companies site to enter that number it only gives me one box to put that number and when I do I get an error that says "Dependent value must be divisible by $500.00".
So my question is, where do I get that number from?
Thanks in advance.

If you're completing a company form as opposed to the W-4 it may be presented in a different way.
Thanks for the reply
The number the estimator gave me was $810 and it said “Enter $810 on step 3 for Claim dependents”.
I've attached a picture of that.
I also don’t have any dependents so would this be a credit thing?
If you have no Dependents, leave that line blank. Otherwise, the calculator is trying to figure your W-4 with a $500 credit for each dependent.
Here's another W-4 Calculator you can try. Not sure where the IRS Calculator got the $810 amount.
Thank you! I did that calculator and the results are pretty standard for what I receive as a refund.
the slider only gives me the option to take more out of my check for a bigger refund, I’m trying to take less out for a smaller refund but I’m not seeing any information on how to do that.
