Those of us using the TurboTax program need an update on form 8911, "Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refeuling Property Credit".
I installed my home vehicle charging equipment in 2019, spent $830 and owe a lot in taxes. I'm using TurboTax on Windows 10 Pro, and everything else is done.
On 3 posts in this forum we see different information -- the form will be done by February 20, the form is available on Windows but not on Mac, etc. My own experience is that my version of TurboTax fills out a form it identifies as 8911, but when I tell it I'm done with Federal Taxes, the program displays a message saying that it will "help [me] complete them on the dates shown", shows Form 8911 "Energy Efficient Vehicle Charging Station Credit" and "Available soon".
So when will I be able to complete my taxes and write this check? I want to be finished.

I use Windows 10 x64, so on the TurboTax shortcut icon on my computer desktop I right clicked and chose the option to 'Troubleshoot Compatibility', and I chose to run the program as Administrator. That seems to have solved this, as a successful update ensued.

Are you using a Mac? Try this fix:
On the Turbotax Menu click on "Turbotax" in the upper far left, then hold down the "option" button on your Mac keyboard. When you hold the "option" button it will change the "check for updates" to read "download latest updates". While continuing to hold down the "option" button click on "download latest updates".
I forgot to mention that I waited through program updates when I started up -- supposedly it got all of them.
I *did* mention that I'm on Windows 10 Pro.

When I started the program with "Run as Admin", it worked. Thanks.
