We reimburse our nanny for mileage at the IRS rate. My understanding is that amount is not taxable for her. Are we able to deduct the money we reimburse her from our income taxes? If so, since we are married filing separately, whose taxes would the deduction come from?

To clarify, I’m asking if the monies I pay her in reimbursements are deductible for ME as a business expense, since I’m her employer? Or does that not apply to household employees?
