My wife's w2 says box 2 federal income tax she only paid 14.56. she works part time is that right?

If her gross income was fairly low in box 1 then the federal taxes withheld in box 2 are probably correct.  The employer withhold taxes based on the W-4 they were given by the employee.

Probably depending on how much she earns per pay period ... did you not notice this as the year went on and question it  before the end of the year ?     If this is not enough there is nothing you can do about the 2022 tax year but the W-4 can be redone for the 2023 tax year.

It might or might not be enough, but if that's the total amount that was withheld from her pay in 2022, then it's right for the W-2. Check against her final pay stub for 2022 if you have it.

Are you looking at the actual paper W-2 from the employer, or did you import it into TurboTax or upload a picture of it? If you imported it or uploaded a picture, make sure that the amounts in TurboTax match the actual W-2. Mistakes sometimes occur in importing or uploading.

If you want to make sure your wife's withholding is correct for 2023, you can use the Tax Withholding Estimator on the IRS web site to figure out what you should each put on the W-4 forms that you give to your employers. She can give her employer a new W-4 if not enough is being withheld.
