My wife passed in 2022,i did not remarry no dependent children,why does turbo tax say i am single and not a qualifying widower ???

So sorry for your loss.   Since your spouse passed in 2022, you were able to file a joint return for 2022.  But you do not have any qualified children as dependents, so you cannot continue to file as a qualified surviving spouse (widower).   Sorry.  You file as Single now for 2023.   It is very difficult to remove the spouse information from an account that was previously used for joint returns, so it would be better if you start a new account to use when you file as Single.
