My wife is in a pottery class that has a sale several times a year. At the end of the year she received a 1099-MISC. How should this be entered into TurboTax?

TurboTax sends me to business forms but shouldn't it be entered as a hobby?

Her class is at a local rec center and they have done this for several years now.

The fact that it is done every year will cause an issue in the program. Hobby versus Self-Employed is a grey area. The IRS does state that if it is a recurring thing, it is self-employed income.

Here is a link to help you decide if it's hobby or a business. If it's a hobby, you cannot mark that she received the same sort of income for more than 2 years in the program.
