My wife claimed taxes for herself and she marked Single not married. What can we do?
We are married and I’m not citizen so we have to file a papers for my green card but she marked Single on her taxes

My wife claimed taxes for herself and she marked Single not married. What can we do?
She will need to amend her return because the IRS only gives two options if you are married and those are married filing jointly and married filing separately. However, if the IRS rejects your return, then you will have the opportunity to make any necessary corrections, add anything that was left off, and resubmit your return.
