My state taxes have been in limbo for two weeks saying they are complete, but my federal taxes are ready. What is taking so long to get my state taxes finalized?

I want to file my taxes so I can get the money to pay my state taxes.

It's possible the forms needed for your state return are not ready yet.

Thanks, I am aware they are not ready yet. My issue is WHY ? My taxes have never taken this long to be ready. I’ve been using Turbo Tax for 7 years and this is the first time this has happened.
