My state rejected my return and apparently I now have to file by mail. How do I get a refund of the $20 I paid to e-file the return?

State rejected the return because the federal return was rejected due to the AGI problem that seems to be pretty common this year.

Everything was entered correctly. I read elsewhere that the problem is that IRS employees are mostly working from home and they haven't been able to update the 2019 returns in their servers. I tried the "0" thing but still rejected. I'm planning to mail my returns but I already paid Turbo Tax $20 to e-file my NJ return.

You will have to contact TurboTax support for any Billing Issues

cost was 25$ for state filing which never took place.  20$ under payment penalty and state e filing never took place.  system says I have to file by mail.  turbo has the filing charge so how is that handled.

Called TurboTax  and got a refund. Took all of 5 minutes.
