My spouse is in her last year of college, and has about 40K of expense, yet i'm getting a message it's not eligible. It was last year. Help me understand?

I see I was able to claim 37K worth of school expenses for my spouse working on an undergrad, but this year after entering the 1098-T info, It's saying I'm not eligible. MAGI 152K.

The Tuition and Fees Deduction expired in 2017 and wasn't renewed for tax year 2018.

Therefore, there are only two education credits available in 2018.   These are the American Opportunity Tax Credit and the Lifetime Learning Credit.  See the eligibility requirements for each below:
