My son just filed his return, but indicated that he could be claimed as a dependent. I provided all of his support as he has autism, can I still claim him as my dependent

my son is in a transition program from his high school which is teaching him work skills, learn how to cook, and ride the bus.  I support him with Room Board clothing etc. He lives in my house 12 months of the year, but he did receive a w2 and indicated that he can be claimed as a dependent. Has autism since birth.

He will need to amend his return once he receives his refund. Amend returns take up to 16 weeks to process and must be mailed. You will need to file your return by mail. You also need to go ahead and file an extension if you have any taxes due. You will also need to pay those fees by April 18, 2017.
