Maybe...    Provide more details.   Is your son the custodial parent?  Does his child live with him?

Who does the child live with?  If the child lives with him and has for more than 6 months out of the year, then probably.  If the child lived with just the mother more than 6 months out of the year then no.  In order to claim a child the following must apply:

  • Your child (including adopted and foster children), your sibling, or a descendent of any of them.
  • Age 18 or younger at the end of the tax year OR under 24 (and younger than you and your spouse) if they are a full-time student
  • Lived with you for more than 6 months during the tax year
  • They did not provide more than half of their own support
  • They did not file a joint return, unless it was to claim a refund

Yes, he will need to include ALL 3 W-2's on one return.  You cannot file the W-2's separately. When you file a return, you must include all income from all sources on one return for the year.
