My son forgot to check the box that he can be claimed on another tax form so mine got rejected a few months ago.

He filed an amended form and we got confirmation that it was updated for federal but my form still got rejected for the same reason.

Should that be the case?

Sorry but you MUST paper file your return this year ... even though he amended his return the system is not reset ... it will only allow the SS# thru the system once per tax year.
