My school district in state of Pennsylvania is not listed on state tax return software - can't type anything in, and even using link to go to Turbotax state's link which gives the information is of no help whatsoever w/ return. And it's a mandatory field

Go back into your state input section.

Click Edit under the section for the school district taxes.  Instead of typing your code in, try selecting the word school district in blue as shown in the sample below.  This may clear up the issue and allow you to proceed with your return.
