A routing number is only nine digits and the place for it will only accept nine digits so are you entering the account number in the wrong place by chance?
Are you sure your routing number is correct? Routing numbers are always 9 digits long.
Call the bank and get the right routing number. And some banks use different numbers for deposits, payments, ACH etc. Especially Bank of America has 5 different routing numbers and don't use the one on the bottom of your checks.
