My returns got rejected due to my ssn is on another tax return as a dependent, which is correct and im trying to fix it and need help. will i have to pay twice for filing

No, you won't have to pay again to fix your rejected return.

If you need to change your dependent status -

• Log into your account.  Click Take Me to My Return or Fix Rejection
• Click your My Info Tab
• This should bring you to a My Info Summary Page.  Click the Edit button next to where your name, SSN, DOB all show
• This should bring you to the main Your Personal Info entry screen
• Scroll down to #3 (see screenshot below).  You will need to make sure that both of those questions are changed to YES if you are being claimed as a dependent on another return.
• After you make that change, you can hit the Review tab and finish up the rest of the error checks and resubmit your return if responding to a rejection
