FYI ... rejected returns have until 10/22/22 to be fixed and resubmitted to be considered timely filed or they can be mailed in with a copy of the rejection notice.
The last day to e-file taxes for your original individual federal income tax returns is usually April 15 unless this falls on a Saturday, Sunday or official holiday. Some state-level holidays can extend the tax deadline by another day.
If you requested a six-month extension by filing Form 4868, making your last day to file individual income taxes October 15, or the next business day if this is a weekend or holiday.
You would need to mail in your returns.
Thanks for your reply.
I did file for an extension and was accepted back in April.
I successfully E-Filed on 10/17 (due to 10/15 being on a Saturday), but the filing was rejected due to a simple dependent issue.
Since my E-File has been started, Turbotax hasn't indicated that they won't allow me to finish (it just says "Pending").
If I were to start a new E-File now, I agree - they're closed for the season.
Being stuck on "Pending" has been a reported technical issue throughout this year, so I'm still hopeful, any insight is appreciated.

@jgackenheimer Sorry you did not mention you filed an extension. Did you try to re-efile your return after the rejection? If you did then it will stay pending until the IRS accepts your return. If you have until October 22, to re-efile your return.
I haven't been able to attempt a re-E-File because the status never changed from "Pending" (to "Rejected" I presume) after the initial E-filing.
I will contact customer service per recommendation, thank you both!
