My return was rejected because I entered "0" for my AGI from last year. I didn't file last year.

If your return is rejected because of the AGI and you entered correct information, you will have to mail your tax return.

For more details, refer to the TurboTax article What if I entered the correct AGI and I'm still getting an e-file rejection? For more information.

If you didn't file at all last year, and no one like a parent filed a 2024 return for you, that should have worked.  In fact, using a 2024 AGI of 0 is what the IRS instructs for that situation.  I think if that happened to me, I would phone the IRS just to be sure no one had filed a 2024 return using my SSN.   If you want to do that, here's how:

IRS: 800-829-1040 (7AM-7 PM local time) Monday-Friday

If you have an IRS online account, you might be able to see if a 2024 return was filed, and if there was one, you can view the 2024 tax return transcript.
