My refund was smaller than what was promised by Turbox Tax. It was also deposited by TPG, which I’m unfamiliar. Is there a reason why my return is significantly smaller?

Did you ask to have your TT fees deducted from your Federal refund?  TPG is the company that handles this (for an extra charge), and then forwards you the balance.

However, the IRS does not notify TPG nor TT if it makes an adjustment and/or offset to your refund. The IRS will mail you a letter in 2-4 weeks, but it could be due to the stimulus or Child Tax Credit.

My refund was $1600 less than it should have been, never has this happened.  Is TPG taking out to much money????  What is going on?  this will probably keep me from using Turbotax ever again.

Yes I had tt deducted and after I was to get 2850.

I have no children and I received one stimulus of $1200, the same as everyone.
