You will not be able to claim the Earned Income Credit (EIC) if you file Married Filing Separately.

Yes.   You cannot get EIC when you file married filing separately.   You lose EIC, education credits and have a lower income amount to get the child tax credit.   And you cannot get the childcare credit.   MFS can be the worst way to file if you have children.
