My parents live in different countries (married). I filed federal jointly for them. How do I file State for ONLY mom? my dad doesn't need to file state, he lives abroad

You file the state Married Filing Separately, which you can do even if you file the federal Married Filing Jointly. 

Make sure you include their different addresses in My Info.
