My parents did not live with me in 2020 taxes and they received the stimulus. Will I need to claim that amount on my 2021 taxes if they are my dependents this year.

No. Only report stimulus money that you received. You will receive the recovery rebate for any dependents that you did not receive a stimulus payment for, if you qualify based on your income.

Generally, you can claim your parent if they didn't have more than $4,300 in gross income (excluding nontaxable Social Security) and you provided more than half of their support in 2021. Your parent doesn't have to live with you.
