My mother lives in an Assisted Living Facility. We also have to pay a sitter to keep her from falling as her dementia is bad. Are the sitter fees deductible?

We have a Dr note stating she can no longer live alone. The dementia is bad enough that she forgets she can't walk to bathroom so she tries and falls. 24/7 sitter is now required to keep her safe. Can I deduct as a medical expense the sitter fees?

Yes, those fees can be claimed as medical expenses. If you can claim your mother as a dependent, you can deduct the expense.
