My mom lives with me and then she got a job at the end of last year, she made 6,368.80. Does she have to file taxes? If she doesn't can I claim her as a dependant?

I helped her for two years and she still lives with me, she couldn't work for that time period because she had knee problems, she got surgery and when she recovered she got a job which she got October of last year.

Your mother will file her own tax return. You can not claim her as your dependent, because she was paid more than $4050 in earned income in 2016.
