Supplemental security income (SSI) payments are not taxable. Social Security benefits, which are different than SSI, would go on the kids' tax returns, but only if they are required to file because of having other income.

You do not enter a dependent's Social Security benefits on your tax return.
If the dependent has no other income they do not report the benefits received on a tax return.
