In the My Info section of the program when you are entering personal information for your spouse there will be a screen to select that they passed away and then enter the date of passing.
Yes, for 2023, you will still file as married filing jointly (if that is how you normally file). In your husband's personal information section, I believe there is a box to check for "this person died during 2023."
Some customers have been unable to e-file in this situation, possibly because the deceased person's SSN has been blocked to prevent fraud. If you can't e-file, you will have to print your return, sign it, and mail it in.
