My husband passed away in 2015 I filed last year correctly as a widow. Do I continue this year as a widow?

So for 2016 tax year Turbo tax is telling me to start a new return? Is that what I am suppose to do.

TurboTax is correct. It would be best to start from scratch with a new return since you status is now Single or Head of Household, depending on your situation.

I entered the Control Number in Box D correctly. I continue to get a red triangle and a prompt saying 'Make sure this info exactly matches what's in box D, incldg spaces'
