Hi,
My husband, my little daughter who is 15 years old and I recently got a greencard on 2019. My older daughter who had her education here in USA, is currently working here in States with a visa. (She's not a permanent resident as 3 of us). Nowadays, we stay with her. However, my husband and I are currently unemployed and looking for jobs while my older daughter is taking care of all of our expenses. I was wondering if we are eligible for the stimulus check even though we haven't filed our tax return due to us having no income. My older daughter did and she got hers. Do we have to file a tax return even though we are both unemployed with my husband?

Hi,
my question was mainly about if we should file tax returns for 2019 even though neither of us have an income except my oldest daughter who filed on her own
You did ask about receiving the stimulus in your post. If you had no income you have nothing to enter on a tax return.
DO I NEED TO FILE A TAX RETURN?

Thank you! I’ve heard that even though we as permanent residents don’t have an income, as citizens we are obliged to file our taxes. But you’re right as we have no income, I don’t have anything to fill in.
so I believe we shouldn’t file a tax return as there is nothing to claim
