What do you mean by "his" taxes? Are you filing a joint tax return with your husband? If you are filing married filing separately, the children's SSN's cannot be used on two tax returns. Did you also file and claim the children? Did you file a return and file as married filing separately and claim them?
@tommyr100 once someone files a return using an SSN that will appear on someone else's return, the second filer can no longer e-file. The exception to this is if the person filing that is using that SSN notes that they can be claimed as a dependent on another's return. could any of your children have filed their own return?
