My husband is deceased as of 06/03/2024 so shouldn't I be filing single for 2025 and how do I change?

Sorry for your loss. I lost my husband in 2023.
You can file a Joint return as normal the year your spouse died. For the next two years following a husband's or wife's death, the surviving spouse can file as a qualifying widow or widower if they have a qualifying child. That basically lets you continue to use the same tax brackets that apply to married-filing-jointly returns. After the year of death if you don't have a child you file as Single. And then next year start over with a new return and new account. And don't transfer from the Joint return.

So sorry for your loss.   For 2024, the year that he passed, you were allowed to file a joint return.  Now with a filing status of Single, start a new account with a new user ID.   You need to do that because using the old account will cause all kinds of errors for you; the embedded information about the spouse just cannot all be removed effectively.
