My husband is a freelance art director and paid another worker $46,080 from his untaxed pay checks over the course of the year. Would he send a 1099 to this person?
Do we send this employee a 1099 or claim this as a business expense? If sending a 1099, how do I print one? I am using Turbotax Home and Business software.

Yes, you are required to send the "other worker" a Form 1099-Misc. You can do so using TurboTax Self-Employed. For instructions on how to create your Form 1099-MISC, see the following FAQ:
