You should be filing as Married Filing Jointly even if one spouse has little or no income.

You cannot claim a spouse as a dependent.  When you are married and live in the same household as your spouse you cannot have Head of Household filing status.

When filing a joint tax return you receive the highest standard deduction of $12,600.  You, your spouse and any dependents claimed on your return each receive a personal exemption of $4,050.
