My husband died December 10th 2017 how do I file?

You can file as Married Filing Jointly in the year of a spouse's passing.

When entering their personal information in the My Info section you will need to indicate that they passed away and the date of their passing.

Is the MY Info section accessible when only filing for an extension?

My husband died December 10th 2017 how do I file?

Also, we were both retired - not working - does that make a difference?
