My husband claimed our child when he shouldn't have he amended his return but mine keeps getting rejected for duplicate social?

Sorry you need to print and mail your return even if he amended.  Amending won't clear the ssn from the IRS.

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them.  You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places.  Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.

@bandit20 - further, because the return has to be mailed, assume it'll be 6-9 months until it is processed due to the IRS backlogs.
