My Form 4868 Extension has been approved. However Number 8 in Part II was erroneously checked. Can it be corrected? Thank you.

You can't cancel or amend form 4868 extension once it’s been accepted.

Checking box 8 gives you additional 4 months to file your return.

You should be fine if you paid the estimated amount due on your 4868 form and you file by the Tax Extension Deadline October 15th 2024.
