My federal taxes are rejected due to a duplicate W2 however, both my husband and I worked the same job, so we each have an identical W2. How can I fix this?

I suggest that you edit both of the W-2's and add $!.00 in box (1) of yours, and subtract -$1.00 from your husbands.

There will be no change to the return, but it will not cause the original confusion.

make sure you indicated that souse was indicated on your w-2 but not the other one.
