My federal return is showing more than I received, but I don't have student loans, child support payments and also don't owe the irs. Wondering why it was so little I got

My problem was solved, I am not tax savy and got really confused by what was going on. Thanks to turbo tax live and alot of panicked Googling i figured it out.

I got the proper return back and thank goodness I don't do taxes for a living cause I'd cause alot of people to panic for nothing lol

You have ruled out the items that the IRS would attach your refund for.

Please clarify what you've done so far.

• Did you apply for a Child Tax Credit?
  • That could amount to $3,000.
• Did you get any type of code or message?
• Did you use the IRS website Where’s My Refund?
  • This may give some clues as to what's going on.
