if you didn't file you can input these under Deductions & Credits / Estimates and Other Taxes Paid, it's not automatic, though some people have been complaining this topic doesn't come up in the interview flow.
if you already filed, what was the outcome - did you have less refund on your return, or have to pay more to the IRS then realize later it was wrong? I think in this case you can just wait and see what IRS does to your return, they have a record of your ES payments and independently check for mistakes like this and recalculate underpayment penalties etc.
I am trying to do 2025 tax return but tax due is $1182 more than I owe. This es payment was cashed via check 7-8-25 per my bank statement. Where do I call to have this corrected?
To enter, edit or delete estimated taxes paid (Federal, State, Local) -
Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Deductions and Credits
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid
On Estimated Tax Payments, click on the start or update button
On Federal estimated taxes for 2025 (Form 1040-ES), click the start button
Federal estimated taxes paid are entered on Form 1040 Line 26
