My family reside in Kansas and I work in washington should I pay Kansas taxes?
Yes. Since Kansas is your resident state, Kansas is allowed to tax all of your income wherever you earn it. While it is true that Washington does not have a state tax, if you are still living in Kansas you must pay tax to Kansas on your income.
